WELD-ON 717​ is a high-strength, grey or clear, high-viscosity PVC solvent cement with a medium drying time. This heavy-bodied formula is engineered for joining PVC pipes and fittings with interference fits, including Schedule 80, up to 12 inches (315 mm) in diameter for pressure systems, and up to 18 inches (450 mm) for non-pressure systems​. It offers excellent gap-filling properties, and its medium setting time provides a longer working interval, which is particularly advantageous in warm weather conditions. This product is formulated for use on all Type I and Type II PVC plastic pipes.

• Critical Prohibition: WELD-ON solvent cements must NEVER be used in PVC systems that contain, use, or are being tested with compressed air or gases​.
• Special Precaution: Do not use dry granular calcium hypochlorite as a disinfectant in potable water systems where this cement is used, as it may cause a violent chemical reaction. Lines should be purified by pumping chlorinated water instead.
